Everyone's favorite author Lani Sarem and her sidekick Henry Rowengartner Thomas Ian Nicholas were at a B&N last night ahead of Wizard World Comic Con!

Did you go?

One masochist decided to go and tweet about it:

they eavesdropped for a while and then...

Highlights of the ensuing twitter thread:

* Lani thinks the reason everyone is mad at her is because the book was labeled as Young Adult instead of New Adult.

* Thomas said that he didn't know that libraries and librarians existed. He also said he hadn't read a book in 10 years.

* Lani thinks that Comic Con people aren't readers and don't talk about books online.

* At one point, Lani said, "It's not MY fault Angie is a black writer!"
("Angie" = Angie Thomas, the author of The Hate U Give)

The mystery man dating Gina Torres is a “cowboy type” father of six from Utah.
They met in mid-August and they have since become a serious couple.
Wright wasn’t even aware of who Torres was when they first met.
They have both recently left long relationships.
Wright ’s the opposite of a Hollywood guy, he’s just a cowboy type.

We’re still on the Fiskars Orange-handled Scissors 50th Anniversary party train and last week, when we asked you to share your Fiskars Orange-handled Scissors story, we knew there would be some talk of “the forbidden” and the “do not touch,” but seriously — that was the overwhelming theme! “Keep away from my scissors!” We should all just hold hands now and start a “Fiskars” chant. I feel like our next DIY should be a hollow book where you can hide your favorite Orange-handled Scissors.

Considering the “hands off” theme rang out loud and proud, we thought long and hard about a pretty (but possibly embarrassing) way to 1. make people think twice about taking your scissors; and 2. to dispel any ideas that the thief won’t be caught when the scissor owner realizes their prized possession is gone and they do a quick visual scan looking for said scissors. Aside from a loud alarm and a mini shock collar (kidding!), we thought a large — and perhaps a tad gaudy — tassel might dissuade any potential scissor thieves. We didn’t add bells to this DIY, but we did purchase them and may consider adding them if our Fiskars go missing again. Feel free to add them to yours from the get-go.

And again: “Calling all Orange-handled Scissors lovers!” Will you please share your Fiskars story with us in the comments below? Aside from being entered to win 1 of 4 awesome gift packs (DIY or design book + Orange-handled Scissors + Fiskars Kids Scissors) packed by yours truly, your feedback will be contributed to some weird scientific research and possibly a fancy pie chart around the different categories of orange-handled memories that I’m obsessed with creating.

Now, let’s DIY! — Caitlin

(P.S. We used beautiful yarn from Purl Soho and, of course, our beloved Fiskars Orange-handle Scissors!

Here are some of our favorite Fiskars Orange-handled Scissors snippets from you!

From Lynda, who always has a pair of Fiskars Orange-handled Scissors in her home:

“These scissors are classic. I still remember teachers guarding these scissors like they were lottery tickets.”

This one comes from Andrea, who explains her Fiskars Orange-handled Scissors “saved her from the dark consequences of procrastination as I sewed my way through my wedding veil a few hours before I was due at the church.”

“I’ve seen the sunrise at least a dozen times with my Fiskars by my side.”

And our final quote of the day comes from Sarah, who asks a profound question:

“Fiskars means scissors, or should it be scissors mean Fiskars?”

Add your story to the comments to be entered to win our Fiskars Orange-handled Scissors giveaway prize!

He is alleging his baby mama physically and verbally abused him during their 2-year relationship.
Brittany accused Albert of skipping out on child support for their young son.
Albert says that he has witnesses and bruises that can attest to Brittany’s violent behavior.
In January Brittany, who was drunk, kicked Haynesworth in the groin twice.
Haynesworth claims his ex, who is white, would call him the n-word.

Margot Robbie teased the upcoming Joker/Harley Quinn film with "I’m personally a sucker for a love story. In any iteration. I think people enjoy seeing two characters who, in Harley and Joker’s case, would die for one another. It’s kind of romantic in a messed up way." She also described the film's directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, whom she previously worked with on Focus and Whiskey Tango Foxtrot as “brilliant”.

I love this performance even when it was awkward. It was pretty much a throwback to the entire Honey MV, Spy-riah Carey abseiling down a building? THICC-riah on a jetski? Mariah awkwardly singing with a graffitied brickwall backdrop, um what? Mariah in the iconic Campaynge gold helicopter? YASSS

After pushing the start date of her tour back a week due to "unavoidable production delays" (an excuse that seems more legitimate after seeing some of the more complex elements of her show), Katy Perry kicked off her Witness tour in Montreal last night.

Despite starting strong in Canada, it appears she's struggling in the US as $9 tickets for her tour have reportedly appeared on Groupon.

In other news, it appears that only one of the three famous stolen dancers is rejoining her on tour as she only has female dancers now.

Welp! Here's the song in question...it's actually pretty good, Zayn fucked up with this one.

In other news, Zayn's current single Dusk Till Dawn is to be featured on The Mountain Between Us soundtrack. It is currently falling down the US iTunes charts.

-Megyn Kelly, who is desperately promoting her new hour of the Today show after the dismal ratings of her Sunday evening show this past summer, said she would definitely welcome Trump on.

-Ellen says she would absolutely say no.

-She says Trump has enough attention and she wouldn't be able to say anything to change him so she wouldn't give him a platform.

-Ellen to Megyn Kelly: "For me to have someone on the show, I have to at least admire them in some way."

Camila Cabello visits a psychic

the psychic revealed that karla never planned to be a pop icon. she also said karla is a very nurturing and loving person. wow.

after getting a tarot card reading, the ontd fave discussed the road to becoming an artist.

i initially was not trying to do music at all. i came to the united states, my family came and my parents made that choice. my mom came over to miami. her main thing was just like, ‘we don’t have money to get you into college, so you’re going to have to get a scholarship and you’re going to have to study your butt off.’ that was always my main focus. i was a book nerd. i was just studying, studying, studying. i didn’t really think of it as a plausible thing, even though it was always my escape. i would always sneak off into my room when my parents went to walmart and i would just sing.

karla also revealed she wrote her global hit song 'i have questions' in a hotel bathroom - i wrote it over this voice memo chord progression that i had in my head.

do you believe in psychic readings?
